Dan Friedlander is an experienced attorney and mediator. In his law practice, Dan represents clients in civil litigation before state and federal trial courts and courts of appeal. He also represents clients in transactional, administrative, and regulatory matters. Most of Dan's clients are business owners, landowners, and real estate developers, but he also represents clients in entertainment industry-related disputes and matters, including trade secret litigation.

As former general land use counsel to one of California's largest land developers and as land use and environmental counsel to many of the nation's top home builders, Dan assists clients in navigating the complex maze of land use and environmental laws and regulations under the most challenging circumstances. His law practice also includes advising clients on the applicability of state and federal prevailing wage laws to construction and improvement projects.

Dan has substantial experience representing both lenders and borrowers in matters involving California's elusive usury laws. Dan also represents both landlords and tenants of large commercial and industrial developments in unlawful detainer proceedings and in complex landlord-tenant litigation. An Alternative Dispute Resolution provider, Dan is listed on the Ventura County Superior Court's approved mediation panel. Dan is also a member of the California Association of Realtors' approved medation panel.
